Brown County Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee Members

Members of the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee were selected by their residency as well as professional and volunteer experience. Their collective input will help shape the Comprehensive Plan considering land use, infrastructure, and community needs.  They will also act as a voice for residents, while seeking community input and participation.  The committee will articulate visions for future advancements, development and preservation of our agriculture heritage to be incorporated into the 20-year plan. The plan will serve as a guiding document for future growth and sustainability within Brown County.

Tony Applegate, Brown County Commissioner, with experience as an entrepreneur in many facets, including real estate development.

Sarah Beath, Brown County Administrator, representing the eastern section of Brown County, with multiple service projects including Treasurer to the CCC/EAPA of Ohio.

Ray Becraft, member of the public, familiar with public and private partnerships through direct service, advocacy and community projects throughout his career.

Kelly Cole, Brown County Development, representing the western portion of Brown County, with multiple service projects including a gubernatorial appointee of the Southern Ohio Ag. Foundation.

Linda Fester, Higginsport resident, representing riverfront communities and instrumental in securing Higginsport’s funding for riverfront revitalization projects.

Daren Howser, Green Township Trustee, representing the northern part of the county, agriculture, and township entities.

Mike Kirk, resident of Mount Orab, representing financial industry with a background in real estate and Board of Public Affairs.

Kevin Kratzer, resident of Georgetown,representing Brown County Education with a focus on workforce training.

Todd Richtor, Sterling Township Trustee, also representing communities along the 32-corridor.

Drew Watson, resident of Lewis Township, also representing private industry in Brown County with previous experience in public service.

Michael Worley, resident of Georgetown, skillful in real estate appraisal and community investment through volunteerism.
